Uma nova patente registrada pela LG Display no início de novembro mostra que a companhia está desenvolvendo uma tecnologia que permite o lançamento de smartphones com câmeras frontais embutidas na tela — o que pode ser a solução para acabar de uma vez por todas com o polêmico notch. Empresas como a Samsung também vêm estudando tal tecnologia, inclusive.

A ideia é um aparelho completamente sem bordas, e a patente da LG mostra duas opções: uma com tela plana, e outra com display curvo, em ambos os casos com o display ocupando quase 100% da parte frontal do smartphone. O mercado espera que novas tecnologias, como essa de câmeras embutidas no display, comecem a surgir já em 2019, à medida em que as fabricantes de hardware vão evoluindo em seus projetos de inovação.
